  • Overview

    Leverage the ADDIE model to develop, implement and evaluate high quality learning and people development programs that drive sales, increase individual productivity and enable legendary customer service. Act as the learning and development liaison between corporate teams and stores to ensure learning programs and content are current and align with business needs and goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, implement and evaluate engaging learning activities, compelling course content and web-based programs that develop, enhance and elevate selling and customer experience behaviors.
    • Manage product knowledge, systems and sales curriculum for Eddie Bauer Retail and Outlet stores; responsible for timely communication and accuracy of content in all support materials and resources.
    • Act as a trusted consultant to both corporate and field partners to assess performance gaps, conduct needs analysis and prioritize learning and development efforts.
    • Develop learning strategies and maintain programs that drive continued sustainment of all current and future learning and people development initiatives.
    • Solicit feedback and evaluate effectiveness based on business insights, analysis of various data sets and knowledge of current training and learning methodologies and technologies; recommend solutions that align with business needs and goals.
    • Execute all learning & development messaging for stores including, but not limited to, monthly training focus, tracking forms and goal sheets.
    • Update and maintain all content and site design needs to support the stores Training & Operations Mobile (TOM) device.
    • Build strong partnerships with field management, cross-functional business partners, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in developing, delivering and evaluating learning and instructional materials.
    • Represent and champion the store’s perspective in stakeholder meetings, effectively communicating store needs, actively influencing business priorities to drive project outcomes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or similar, required.
    • 3-5 years related experience in curriculum development and training delivery.
    • Industry certification, CPLP or equivalent preferred.
    • Broad understanding of retail, specifically from a store leadership point of view preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience with e-learning applications and web-based authoring tools, such as Captivate, Articulate, Presenter, iBook Author and/or Cornerstone on Demand.
    • Background in editing and maintaining web-based instructional material and e-learning/multimedia content.
    • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems a plus.
    • Familiarity with graphic design software such as InDeisgn, preferred.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
    • Exceptional knowledge of adult learning principles, methods and techniques used in the design and delivery of effective learning and development solutions, with emphasis on instructional technology and mobile/multimedia course development.
    • Demonstrated project management capabilities, including significant experience managing multiple stakeholders’ expectations to a common outcome.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate learning sessions that influence and persuade others, and convey strategies and complex information effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and demonstrate consultative and decision-making skills in a corporate environment.
    • Detail oriented and highly organized with ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously while maintaining a clear sense of priorities.
