  • Overview

    Responsible for maximizing sales and margin for specific product channels through effective and timely Pre-season and In-season inventory management and is responsible for reacting to current business trends and executing future business.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute against seasonal financial plans for Eddie Bauer Germany business that meet division level financial goals.
    • Forecast style demand by catalog and channel to determine total season demand for Eddie Bauer Germany business.
    • Maintain key inputs that drive the Eddie Bauer Germany and other market place channel business
    • In partnership with the International team, develop and execute style level plans and inventory buys that meet market place channel level financial goals.
    • Manage inventory investments to maximize productivity and fulfillment including initial buy, liquidation, reorders, and allocation strategies for specific product channels.
    • Examples of channels within scope: Eddie Bauer Germany, Third Party Vendors (Amazon/Walmart/Ebay/Wholesale/Lord and Taylor), Warehouse Store Inventory Management and Real Estate (Opening/Closing/Relocation Stores).
    • Manage pricing, inventory levels & transfers with channels.
    • Execute monthly reforecasting at style/color level to identify and make recommendation regarding under or over stock positions.
    • Build effective cross-functional relationships and skillfully navigate / influence business decisions.
    • Recruit, identify, develop, and retain Planning Analysts and/or Planning Reps that will lead and deliver performance excellence while supporting a diverse environment.
    • Proactively identify channel specific retail issues and opportunities, proposing solutions and communicating a unified direction.

    Qualifications

    • 4 year college degree preferred.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in a retail/catalog planning/buying capacity preferably with a multi-channel retailer.
    • Demonstrated experience driving a business through financial planning, gross margin, and inventory management.
    • Demonstrated ability to hire, train, develops, and motivates high quality individuals.
    • Demonstrated spreadsheet capabilities.
