  • Overview

    Responsible for supporting Merchandise Planning and Allocation initiatives to support improved productivity of merchandise across all channels of business. This role supports the development and rollout of time-based product attributing and partners with the VP MP&A, Inventory Strategy Manager and Director BI to develop and roll-out Tableau and Excel based reports that incorporate these attributes and support business objectives.


    • Support the development of the Planning and Allocation capabilities for the organization by supporting projects or initiatives to address any gaps to best practices.
    • Supports Pre-Season to Purchase Order by requirements gathering and enhancements to product attributing and analytics through the creation of new reports and Tableau views.
    • Supports Purchase order to Customer by improvements to the quality of allocation decisions, reduction in stockouts of 365 and core seasonal product, and the execution of process and systems enhancements to reduce the cost of per unit fulfillment through the creation of new reports and Tableau views.
    • Help Identify margin or inventory productivity risks and opportunities in the business through report publication, visualization through tools like Tableau, and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.
    • Partner with Business Intelligence function to improve support for “standardized” Excel-based tools so that the data can be more automated for MP&A users.


    • 4 year college degree
    • 3-5 years' experience in Merchandise, Planning, Allocation, Replenishment or related functions; driving a multi-channel business through assortment planning, item planning, allocation, replenishment decisions
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, relevant macros and visual Basic and a track record of creating insights and reports and that are adopted by a broader user community.
    • Experience working with Tableau preferred.

    • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
    • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
    • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
    • Occasional Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel.


    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time position.  As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume.  This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
