  • Overview

    As our Regional Benefits Coordinator, you will be supporting associates in the U.S., Canada, and Hong Kong within an assigned region for all core benefits that Eddie Bauer offers. You will also be providing analytical, technical and administrative support to our Benefits leadership and additional team members.


    • Administering associate benefits across the U.S., Canada, and Hong Kong and respond to associate requests and questions related to Health & Welfare, Disability, Retirement, Leaves of Absence (“LOA”) or Worker’s Compensation (“WC”) benefits
    • Timely processing of benefits enrollment paperwork and checking for accuracy and completion of information; approving and collecting supporting documentation from associates for all qualifying life event benefit changes
    • Managing LOAs, including pay component, elevating escalated LOA matters to sr. level partners or leadership, and assist in the on-going development and improvement of LOA policies and procedures; reporting as needed
    • Responding to third party administrator (“TPA”) requests for additional information, maintaining files, data entry, and supporting the preparation of OSHA 300-A, and other required reports annually
    • Coordinating return to work program with associates, supervisors, TPA, vendors and internal HR partners
    • Working closely with payroll and benefits partners to ensure timely and accurate benefit deductions are taken
    • Building and maintaining relationships with internal partners and external benefit carriers, vendors, and consultants 
    • Collaborating with benefits leadership to administer the benefits communication strategy on an annual basis, including: open enrollment, benefit booklets, Wellness, Summary Plan Descriptions, on-going communication and intranet updates as necessary
    • Ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations as well as timeliness and accuracy of required filings, with the support of the Benefits Administrator
    • Completing other projects as assigned


    • 1-2 years of benefits or HR experience in a medium to large size company
    • Knowledge of benefits laws and requirements, such as 401K, ERISA, PPACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, Section 125
    • Knowledge of Workers Compensation laws and regulations related to return to work
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel (including v-lookups & pivot tables), and Access
    • Working knowledge of HRIS programs, experience with Ceridian Source 550, Dayforce and/or Insync a plus
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
    • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
    • Availability for occasional evenings and/or weekends during periods of high volume requests or processing 
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
