    As the Recruiting Assistant you will support the hiring and recruiting process.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Core Accountabilities:

     

    • Answer telephone, screen & direct calls
    • Greet candidates and assist with application process
    • Key applicant, new hire and payroll information into HRIS system
    • Process background checks including employment, education and reference checks
    • Interview applicants to effectively determine areas of strength while meeting business need
    • Conduct drug screens for all candidates
    • Extend employment offer to applicants and schedule start dates
    • Conduct orientation for all new Non-Exempt associates
    • Administer I-9 verifications
    • Represent Eddie Bauer at community events including, but not limited to, job fairs and campus activity
    • Create and maintain files for all new hire paperwork
    • Assist in guiding current associates with Human Resources matters
    • Other duties as assigned by HR Manager

     

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills, including public speaking
    • Superior time management, organization and prioritization skills 
    • Maintain professionalism at all times
    • Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change 
    • Ability to multitask
    • Entrusted with confidential information
    • Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team, prioritizing work flow based on urgency
    • Willingness to work flexible hours due to varying needs within the recruiting 
      organization, including weekends and overtime
    • Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
    • Accurately type 50 WPM

     

    Education/Experience Required:

    • High School Diploma
    • Prior support for a Recruiting/HR department in a customer service function preferred
