Assist in the development and execution of public relations activities that support the Eddie Bauer corporate and brand marketing goals - including media relations, event planning, sample management and strategic communications with the ultimate goal of building meaningful, lasting partnerships and the enduring positive representation of the Eddie Bauer brand in the minds of the consumer, business and trade media.


Core Accountabilities

  • Assist in executing the annual strategic plan for Public Relations efforts including media showroom execution, event planning, influencer engagement, seasonal lookbook creation, sample management and product/asset requests.
  • Work in a highly collaborative environment to bring Public Relations initiatives and brand marketing campaigns to life.
  • Constantly improve materials and processes.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of influencer and media events.
  • Work closely with the external Public Relations agencies on a daily basis.
  • Assist in evaluating incoming media requests, determine course of action and work with PR agencies and/or PR Manager to execute.
  • Assist with media training for Eddie Bauer spokespeople, including product team and Eddie Bauer Guide & Athlete team.
  • Manage product education and Eddie Bauer spokesperson preparation process ahead of showrooms, influencer events and other events where spokespeople are relaying product or company information to the media.
  • Develop relationships with key active outdoor, fashion and lifestyle media.
  • Maintain a keen eye on social, industry and economic trends that affect company; work with Public Relations Manager to advise strategies to take advantage of trends or avoid issues and crises.
  • Work with Public Relations Manager to identify opportunities and implement tactics to leverage and maximize media placements with consumer facing programs and events.
  • Assist in paid media execution.

Education/Experience Required

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in public relations or related field.
