The Sr. Security Engineer identifies information security risks facing Eddie Bauer information assets, analyzes potential solutions, and leads initiatives to implement appropriate protections.


  • Evaluating, designing, testing, implementing, supporting, managing, and deploying security systems/devices used to safeguard information assets
  • Leading the vulnerability management functions, proactively identifying security flaws and vulnerabilities, and coordinate remediation across IT functions
  • Leading the IS operations function to ensure that threat intelligence and monitoring processes are executed properly; participating in incident response processes
  • Leading security architecture and securing SDLC processes, providing technical engineering and operational guidance to IT, business teams, and management
  • Developing and defining security standards which incorporate best practices, processes, and products for the enterprise in support of IS policies
  • Identifying emerging trends in the threat landscape and industry, and establishing strategic guidance 
  • Helping to create a practical, scalable, and secure model for enterprise applications, networks, and services
  • Working with technology groups to evaluate, select, install, and configure hardware/software systems to identify and address IS risks; conducting technical evaluations of IT systems 
  • Developing technical documentation to support the evaluation, selection, installation, and maintenance of security technology systems
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and available products/services


  • 7-10 years of experience in information technology; 5 years within information security
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with administering and securing Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, and Mainframe, and Cloud environments
  • Experience with implementing and administering network security, incident response, full packet capture and malware detection solutions including network architecture and security infrastructure placement
  • Ethical hacking and red team penetration testing experience
  • Experience in testing and deploying cryptographic tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including meeting facilitation, presentation and report writing skills
  • Professional information security related certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
