The Manager of Online Merchandising creates and executes the merchandising strategy for the website that supports our Omni-channel brand strategy. This role also drives business and visual strategies to maximize sales and profit for the company, and identifies opportunities and recommends new concepts for the channel to enhance the overall brand performance and customer experience.


  • Developing the annual business strategy and financial plan for the business lines you oversee
  • Leveraging analytics tools to provide insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams; working with finance to model a Direct business strategy, leveraging business KPI’s
  • Developing and implementing site KPI’s that support sales and margin with particular focus around AOV, Units per Order, Conversion and site Bounce Rate 
  • Developing and implementing merchandising strategies that achieve sales and gross margin goals
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate product level strategies to drive conversion; working on identifying opportunities through analytics around product price and availability to improve category level performance
  • Analyzing site metrics to connect web behavioral profiles to customer, sales and merchandising data; partnering with web analytics to support deep dive analysis on current customer and business trends
  • Managing the life-cycle of web products; providing insights to drive product decisions 
  • Collaborating with Creative on site design, layouts, image and content
  • Managing and coaching associate website managers in supporting site strategies including identifying and resolving customer-facing product issues 24/7
  • Working closely with Website Analytics on developing robust site testing strategies to support continuous improvements in website UX
  • Partnering with Marketing to ensure consistent email, portal and affiliate strategies
  • Providing key product strategies and insights to support revenue and margin goals for email and digital marketing channels
  • Managing web pages with particular focus on launching all content pages to the live site, including the resolution of any issue impacting customers 24/7
  • Attending and participating in key product development meetings
  • Managing third party vendors that support website merchandising strategies


  • 5+ years’ experience in Merchandising
  • 3+ years’ experience in Ecommerce 
  • Experience managing and leading a diverse group of individuals in a highly dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Practical experience with content management systems and business analytics tools 
  • Strong Coremetrics or related site analytic tool experience
  • Ability to make timely decisions, anticipate problems and provide creative solutions
  • Flexibility to work off-hours as required
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Retail Merchandising or Ecommerce
