Overview

Directs and manages IT security function for Eddie Bauer LLC. Develop and implement information security standards, policies, and procedures. Monitor and resolve Eddie Bauer’s security exposure with prompt risk mitigation. Operate as key business partner to business leaders; working cross functionally to deliver IT solutions in support of business initiatives. Protect Eddie Bauer system infrastructure from internal and external security exposure; maintaining and enhancing best in class security protections and protocol

Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities

  • Establish direction for the deployment of information Technology security aligned with Eddie Bauer strategic initiatives.
  • Lead development and implementation of key IT security projects within assigned budgets ensuring business outcomes are reached with rigor, discipline, transparency, and structure.
  • Proactively respond to needs of the business ensuring applications are efficient for end-users.
  • Maintain clear view of IT system architecture ensuring seamless and logical integrations.
  • Protect legacy technology during IT technology transformation.
  • Lead organization through education and compliance of information security protocol.
  • Ongoing assessment of systems to ensure Eddie Bauer is protected from security exposure.
  • Provide exception/exposure reporting and remediation to CIO and Chief Privacy Officer
  • Support the maintenance of the IT business continuity plan. Communicate continuity and contingency plans with VP Global distribution and appropriate SMT/Officers.
  • Document, maintain and oversee compliance for IT security policy and procedure.
  • Prepare RFP’s, contracts, scope of work for IT security projects.
  • Provide vision and thought leadership related to cyber security and overall IT security strategy
  • Operate as internal subject matter expert on information security, risk monitoring, and security compliance.
  • Assess & resolve security exposure within IT infrastructure.
  • Lead ongoing education to business partners and associates related to security risks and avoidance.
  • Operate as the SME strategic partner with Internal Audit and compliance business partners to implement and monitor security.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement; applying best in class security solutions
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts and evaluate business solutions to ensure quality service is delivered.
  • Provide input on costs, benefits, and risks related to development and support operations.
  • Provide technical guidance to business partners, associates, and customers.

Qualifications

Essential Functions Required:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and lift 15-25#
  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions
  • Airplane travel to Bellevue Washington required
  • Ability to stay in hotel lodging for multiple nights when traveling to Bellevue Washington

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Conceptual knowledge of IT structures, architectures, and economies in batch, client/server, web-based and LAN based environments.

  • Strong understanding of the interface between business operations and systems

 

Education/Experience Required

  • Four year Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Information Technology.
  • MBA desirable.
  • 7-10 years leadership experience in IT service based environment.
