  • Overview

    Lead the development and execution of all stores-facing communication to drive sales, increase store productivity and enable legendary customer service. Act as the final gatekeeper between corporate teams and stores to ensure workload expectations align with the store’s capacity for execution.


    Core Accountabilities:

    • Maintain the planning and workload calendar for stores, including project plans, payroll support, and resource requirements, ensuring on-time execution and workload compliance.
    • Lead the development and execution of all product knowledge initiatives in conjunction with the Field Communication Manager; support product calls, product knowledge resources, and key partnerships with merchants.
    • Act as the store liaison between field and corporate business teams facilitating two-way feedback to influence and drive project tactics and outcomes.
    • Champion the retail perspective in key meetings to influence merchandising direction, marketing programs and promotions to ensure flawless execution and a consistent customer experience.
    • Manage the navigational structure, maintenance and overall organization of all field-facing communication platforms; ensure functionality is effective and efficient from the end-user perspective.
    • Execute the store recognition strategy and contests; solicit feedback and provide competitive benchmarking to help influence strategic decisions and priorities for stores.
    • Develop and maintain feedback & evaluation tools to continually improve communication, process and programs.
    • Represent and champion the store’s perspective and capacity for execution in stakeholder meeting, actively influencing outcomes and tactics to optimize store execution and business impact.
    • Perform all business communication for Eddie Bauer Retail and Outlet stores including but not limited to, event details and tactical plans to support the promotional calendar, product launches, visual updates, markdowns and transfers.
    • Develop strong partnerships with field management and cross-functional business partners to solicit, evaluate and filter feedback to effectively communicate store needs/perspective to influence and drive project tactics and outcomes.
    • Function as a single point of contact for all communication and customer experience issues, providing and/or facilitating resolution and identifying opportunities to simplify current processes and resources; responsible for managing communication updates and accuracy of content in all communication and customer experience resources.

    Education/Experience Required:

    • 4-year college degree preferred.
    • 3-5 years multi-unit management or corporate experience preferred.
    • 1-3 years project management experience, preferable in a retail environment.
    • Exceptional knowledge across brand communications and business processes.
    • Proven ability to build relationships, work collaboratively with others, and demonstrate consultative and decision-making skills in a corporate environment
    • Proven written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong negotiating skills, including the ability to manage conflict to optimal outcomes.
    • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office suite.

    Physical Requirements:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
    • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
    • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
    • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
    • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time position.  As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume.  This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
