    Lead engaging and impactful email and mobile communications programs. Leverage the channels to amplify company initiatives and drive financial objectives. Continuously develop best-in-class strategy and operations across both programs, in partnership with internal and external partners. This is a six months full time (40 hours/week) temporary position.





    Core Accountabilities:


    Lead the email program strategy, innovation, and optimization.

    • Develop program strategy, goals, KPI's, and tactics roadmap.
    • Drive innovation to enroll, engage, and retain customers via new, effective levers.
    • Drive optimization of the program by testing into deeper personalization and strategic content variations. Communicate results and implement actionable insights, in partnership with cross-functional teams.
    • Actively monitor the competitive landscape and industry standards; and rapidly integrate best practices.


    Develop a new mobile communication program.

    • Collaborate with an external agency to develop and execute a mobile communications pilot program that complements email reach.
    • Lead a cross-functional marketing and operations plan for the new communication channel.
    • Develop a plan to scale the channel broadly as a key retention and loyalty lever.


    Ensure flawless operational execution of the communication programs.

    • Partner with external agencies and oversee internal talent to ensure day-to-day planning and execution are on track and in alignment with broader strategy.
    • Validate proper execution of CRM database to ensure optimal deliverability. Identify data flow gaps impacting sales performance, and quickly resolve in partnership with technical teams.


    Ensure programs are meeting broader organizational goals, by driving optimal performance and monitoring results regularly.

    • Create and present program performance and financial forecast to senior leadership.
    • Maintain excellent external vendor relationships and manage multiple budgets.
    • Recruit, develop, and retain team members to deliver exceptional results.

    Education/Experience Required:

    • 4 year degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
    • 7+ years CRM or retention marketing experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft office tools.
    • Experience managing email programs required.
    • Experience managing SMS or Mobile Wallet programs preferred.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of email marketing and loyalty programs.
    • Proven ability to drive measurable results through customer marketing efforts, preferably in an ecommerce environment.
    • Strong analytical skills, including experience with attribution methodologies and analytics software (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Tableau). Ability to convert data into actionable insights.
    • Ability to forecast program performance and build basic financial modeling.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized with ability to effectively direct and prioritize work for self and team.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to executive and senior leadership.
    • Ability to effectively influence and negotiate.
    • Project management skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.


    Physical Requirements:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
    • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
    • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
    • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
    • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.


    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a six months temporary position.  As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume.  This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
