Through effective and timely pre-season and in-season management of assigned categories, the Associate Merchandise Planner supports the planning teams in the development and execution of merchandise financial plans to achieve financial targets and maximize business results.

• Supporting the execution of seasonal financial plans to meet or exceed financial objectives for sales, margin and inventory
• Working with Merchandising teams to support quarterly buy plans
• Supporting in-season processes to maximize financial outcomes for the season, including repositioning of pricing and the Open to Buy process
• Supporting in the execution of monthly reforecasting at the style / color level; identifying and making recommendations to address under or over stock positions
• Generating reports for and actively participating in key business meetings to support the strategy to drive business results in your assigned categories
• Executing promotional and clearance pricing to optimize results 
• Analyzing current business and historical results to identify risks and opportunities
• Continually building effective cross-functional relationships to help influence business decisions

• 1-2 years in a category planning/analysis, or inventory management role; retail preferred
• Demonstrated experience identifying problems/opportunities and providing solutions
• Ability to think critically and independently
• Strong analytical skills
• Solid Excel skills
• Bachelor’s degree or related planning experience
